Union City Leisure Services and Paddy's Coffee House is pleased to present our artist of the month, Larry Burnor! Larry, a long time resident of Union City, has a very keen eye for colour and details, and his photography reflects that vision. Stunning vistas, vibrant colour, all brought to life through his photographic passion.

We are also throwing open our doors to entries for the 5th Annual Paddy's Film Festival, all Fridays in October, starting at 8.30 pm. Movies will be screened outdoors behind the coffee house. Seemingly innocuous objects are turned into a work of beauty by his talent. This time around Bryant is accompanied by Jessica Gill. Her sketches and work are amazing. The spirit of expression flows freely in her work. She garned the first prize in the recently held Sharing the Arts show at Paddy's. Union City Leisure Services, Paddy's Coffee House and the Arts Association of East Bay, are having the annual Sharing the Arts at Paddy's from June 10th to July 15th. We feature art pieces by various artists, spanning diverse media. This is an event that is open to all artists from the Bay area, and we have chosen the best pieces that we have received. Reception will be held on July 11th from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Police Chief Greg Stewart will be at Paddy's on June 24th from 5.30 to 7.30. This is an opportunity for the community to get to know Greg and for him to get to know you as well. We at Paddy's can attest that we always have great fun interacting with Greg. And, you can score brownie points, if you can pun your way with him

June 26th, 7:30 to 10:30 pm - Bad Touch / Dak / John & Jesse, live music
A night of all out comedic rock, pop, and what not as the kings of insult comic rock, Bad Touch, will be performing at room temperature volume with their brand of awesomeness; Dak will be opening with their acoustic pop musings on all things donuts and PG rated fetishes; while starting things off will be the debut of John & Jesse, a two or more band that has been entertaining open mics left and right, and will now be debuting their set in a new venue. On Saturday April 11th, from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, we are pleased to welcome back Randi Ray. She is an extremely talented and wonderful singer and we certainly do not want you to miss out on this opportunity.

In collaboration with Union City Leisure Services, we are pleased to host the annual Young Artists Faire. It is artwork of different forms from all the schools in the school district. Golly, there are some talented young 'uns out there. We have a reception planned for them on Saturday April 25th, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

 

Superintendent Kari McVeigh is inviting members of the New Haven community to join her for *Coffee With the Superintendent* from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Paddy's Coffee House. The event will be an opportunity to gather informally to discuss issues of interest to students, parents, employees and other community members.
