Final exams are round the corner, and that can mean only one thing. Paddy's will be open 24 hours May 2nd to June 11th, Sunday to Thursday. We close regular hours Friday night and Saturday night. We do this every year to help our student community friends with their exams. Come on over, we have free wi-fi, ample outlets and seating.
FIFA 2010 World Cup Football!
The worlds biggest sporting event is barely a couple weeks away. The FIFA 2010 World
Cup Football will be held in South Africa this year, starting June 11th 2010 all the way to July 10th 2010. Due to the time difference, most of the games will be in the mornings around 6.00 am and 11.00 am. Guess where you are going to be watching the games, and avoiding the early morning traffic snarls!
Paddy’s is your destination to watch the World Cup games live. Look forward to cheering the games with all of you. Mark your calendars, June 12th, USA plays England.
Paddy’s Chess Tournament
Yes, you read that right. Paddy’s is having a chess tournament for all you chess lovers. Prizes including Paddy’s gift cards will be awarded to the winners, but the main prize is the serious bragging rights involved.

Standup Comedy Open Mic returns
We are glad to welcome back Molly Sokhom who did such a wonderful job hosting and performing in the Standup Comedy series in the past. Molly returns to host our summer long Standup Comedy nights. The first comedy night is on June 11th from 8 pm to 10 pm. And does she have an impressive line up of performers. Standup Comedy showcase will be every 2nd Friday of the month, and she will also be hosting an Open Mic every 4th Tuesday of the month, starting June 2010. Welcome back Molly.

Primary Elections
June 8th is the statewide primary elections. As always, Paddy’s is the only commercial establishment in Alameda County to be certified as a polling station.
There are a lot of propositions on the ballot that need your attention, as also county wide elections. Do your civic duty and take part in the election process. Spread the word and the responsibility. Do not let your citizenship go to waste
Paddy’s, Music and kids
Saturday June 26th, 10 am, it is our pleasure to welcome back Soul of Sparrow.
We will be selling raffle tickets to aid the Starlight Foundation. Soul of Sparrow is also donating all their tips and other income to the foundation.
On the day of the performance, we will be raffling coffee beans, tea bags, gift certificates. We hope that you will participate and help this foundation.
Music and Arts, anyone?
Paddy’s is inviting all musicians to use our facility for their performances. Anyone is welcome - spoken word artists, DJ’s, bands, rappers - to host and perform at Paddy’s.
We ar also, in association with the Union City Leisure Services, looking to showcase talented artists on our premises. Currently we are featuring the Annual Sharing the Arts, and we are calling all artists to avail of this wonderful place. Your medium of work does not matter, we would still like to feature you.

Brazil
Sailing the oceans and jumping ranges, we move from Ethiopia to Brazil, the land of wonderful music, Joga Bonito and overall fun. Brazil is one of the largest producers of coffee in the world, and they maintain an excellent quality.
Our coffee is roasted medium to dark Viennese, bringing about the flavours associated. It is a highly aromatic with medium body and moderate acidity coffee. A wonderful sip on the palate.
