Oh, what a great day it was, one that will be stenciled and etched in our memories for ever! May 16th 2009 was Union City’s 50th Anniversary Parade and Classic Car show.

Paddy’s decided to take part in the parade, and our float Paddy’s decided to take part in the parade, and our float would not have been possible without the help of our wonderful patrons and colleagues David Thibert, Monica Takama, Rachel Aceberos, Clarice Aceberos and Nora Newell. The words Thank You is just two words, but there is a whole depth of appreciation that cannot be properly conveyed and expressed.

What a fantastic day, wonderful floats and bands, great crowd support. We at Paddy’s wish to thank all the volunteers of Union City’s 50th Organising Committee for a job well done.

Yes, summer time is here. And we are trying out something new this summer. We are going to stay open later, thanks to your persistent requests. Instead of closing every night at 10.00 pm, we will now close at 11.00 pm, starting June 19th. If there is still pent up demand and customer traffic, we might extend it further.

We were open 24 hours the month of May to enable our student brethren focus on their exams. It was a satisfying month for us and for the student community as well. It was great to see such a huge turnout!

From all of us at Paddy’s, we thank you very much for your continued patronage, and we wish our student community nothing but the best.

Paddy’s is inviting all musicians to use our facility for their performances. Anyone is welcome - spoken word artists, DJ’s, bands, rappers - to host and perform at Paddy’s.

We ar also, in association with the Union City Leisure Services, looking to showcase talented artists on our premises. Currently we are featuring the Annual Sharing the Arts, and we are calling all artists to avail of this wonderful place. Your medium of work does not matter, we would still like to feature you.

Check our Events Page to gain an insight into the kind of shows and performances we have. If you need to speak with us, please check our Contact Us page for the relevant contact person.

PERU ORGANIC

There was a persistent demand that we have Peru Organic for this month, and so for all you coffee lovers, Paddy’s is pleased to announce that the coffee of the month is, indeed, Peru Organic!

It is a supremely delicious, bold cup of coffee, roasted to perfection to bring about the earthy flavours that is so characteristic of coffee from Peru. It has an excellent balance of acidity and body with a rich smooth finish. Yummm!

If you have not had the privilege of having our Peru Organic, we encourage you to do so. And just for this month, we retail it at $11.00 a pound, ground or whole beans.
